TRADEMARKS FILLING REQUIREMENTS
1) Registrable Trade Mark
- A distinctive logo, sign, names, symbols, letters, words, signatures, numerals, devices, brands, labels, shapes, colour, sound, position, motion, holograms.
- The mark consisted solely of a common surname / name of a juridical person is not allowed. Also the mark consisted solely of numeral is not be available.
- Series Mark – Not Available
- 3D Mark - Available
- Multiple classes – Available
- Filing international registration under Madrid Agreement – Available
2) Application Particulars
- Name of the Mark/Logo/Device prints or representation
- Name, Address and Nationality of Applicant.
- Status of Applicant i.e. Merchandisers / Manufacturers / Service Providers /Others
- List of goods and services (No Limitation on the number of specification of goods/services)
- For marks that contains non-English words, a certified transliteration & translation
3) Required Forms
None
4) Publication Period
Two (2) Months
5) Extension of time for responding to Office Action
Allowed with cost
6) Registration Protection Period
10 years from registration date
7) Renewal
Renewable thereafter for successive period of 5/10 years. Renewal fees must be paid before the expiry date but not more than 6 months prior the expiry. Late renewals are available normally up to 6 months after expiry date with payment of late fees.

12 months
9) Where Priority is claimed
Certified copy of the Priority Document. If the document is not in English, please provide a translation of the same.
